Business Development Manager

Would you like to join a fast-growing organisation providing innovative digital solutions to major pharmaceutical corporates such as GlaxoSmithKline and Bristol Myers-Squibb?  We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team here at PharmiWeb Solutions!

The role encompasses new business sales, business development and account management within the fast paced world of pharma digital solutions.   The post holder will be responsible for generating sales revenue from a combination of new and existing accounts

Accountabilities:

  • Identify relevant sales opportunities from an allocated target account list
  • Actively go to market leveraging our existing knowledge and account base to develop new opportunities
  • Contact new and existing accounts to arrange face to face meetings
  • Write proposals, produce presentations and present to clients
  • Work in conjunction with senior management to determine appropriate pricing structures and solutions definition
  • Close deals
  • Attend and report sales activity at weekly sales meeting, and at other meetings as required
  • Build and sustain lasting relationships with new and existing clients
  • Achieve a minimum of 10 appointments with customer and prospects per month, at least 5 of which should be to discuss new business

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE: 

  • Degree level qualification in a business or scientific discipline (ideal but not essential)
  • Demonstrable knowledge of the pharma market
  • Previous experience selling into the Pharma, Life Science sectors
  • Digital solutions experience
  • Proven track record in New Business Development
  • Proven track record in Account Management
  • Proven track record in Sales
  • Highly proactive and able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
