JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 14, 2016
JACKSONVILLE, Fla., Sept. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) will once again participate in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), the world's largest annual workplace-charity campaign. CFC provides the perfect opportunity for military and civilian federal employees to get involved by supporting causes they believe in, and helping wounded veterans and the nonprofits that serve them. CFC utilizes almost 200 campaigns nationwide and overseas to raise millions of dollars each year for eligible nonprofits.
The funds raised through CFC provide WWP with the support needed to ensure our programs and services for mental and physical health, long-term support, employment, and education continue to be provided free of charge to warriors, their families, and caregivers, for a lifetime.
The programs support both immediate and long-term recovery and healing by smoothing the transition into life after military service.
"Each of the warriors, caregivers, and family members we serve at Wounded Warrior Project has been touched by the generosity of our supporters," said Mike Linnington, WWP chief executive officer. "Whether it is mental health services, physical rehabilitation training, continuing education assistance, or employment placements, we are committed to helping our warriors reach their fullest potential. The generous donations of our supporters through the Combined Federal Campaign can help us achieve that goal."
WWP is asking donors to consider Wounded Warrior Project, #11425, as a choice for CFC contributions, a kindness that would honor a wounded veteran's sacrifice and service for a lifetime. The process is easy: between September 1 and December 15, pledges can be made through an employee's local CFC office using the WWP CFC code #11425. Click here to locate your local office.
Donors can also help spread the word by sharing with colleagues, friends, and family that the gifts they contribute will continue to impact and change the lives of injured veterans through WWP programs and services.
