To commemorate World Heart Day, Worldwide Clinical Trials will present a free webinar, titled “Piloting the Queen Mary: The Unique Challenges of Cardiovascular Outcome Studies,” on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. ET.  Worldwide’s Chief Medical and Scientific Officer Michael Murphy, M.D., Ph.D., will lead the exploration of the common challenges and key success factors, as well as design and operational conventions in cardiovascular outcome trials.

“Cardiovascular outcome studies remain a highly challenging and complex area of clinical research, introducing a level of complexity infrequently encountered on the explanatory-pragmatic clinical trials continuum” explained Dr. Murphy. “This webinar provides the opportunity for our team at Worldwide to share their experiences, best practices and insights regarding evolving study concepts, spanning topics as diverse as the need for scalable operational and technological infrastructure, relationship management across diverse stakeholders, the implications of emerging developments in trial methodology and the impact of regional differences in standards of care on successful study conduct.”

Dr. Murphy will be joined by several of his Worldwide colleagues who will discuss their personal and varied experiences across cardiovascular trials, including Karen Hill, VP Global Operations, Cardiovascular; and Toni Bransford M.D., Senior Medical Director, Medical & Scientific Affairs.
