MatriTek's proprietary TissueSpec™ platform technology enables scientists to culture cells in a physiologically relevant extracellular microenvironment and is coupled with the company's core expertise in cell and tissue culture biomaterials and in-vitro models for biomedical research. MatriTek's cutting-edge technology was developed by a team led by Dr. Gordana Vunjak Novakovic, Mikati Foundation Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Professor of Medical Sciences at Columbia University, demonstrating the potential for a broad range of applications in stem cell research and regenerative medicine. Dr. Vunjak Novakovic is a renowned expert in tissue engineering and a member of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, Academia Europaea, National Academy of Engineering, National Academy of Medicine, and National Academy of Inventors.
