GlobalCompliancePanel announces successful completion of in-house training for Standard Process

Fremont, CA, October 4, 2016: GlobalCompliancePanel, a leading provider of regulatory compliance trainings for all the areas of regulatory compliance, proudly announces the successful completion of a two-day in-house training session on September 13 and 14, 2016 for Standard Process, a Palmyra, WI based maker of food nutrient solutions.

The Director of this two-day session was John Zorich, Statistical Consultant & Trainer, Ohlone College & SV Polytechnic, and the topic was “Applied Statistics, with Emphasis on Verification, Validation, and Risk Management, in R&D, Manufacturing, and QA/QC”. This course has been pre-approved by RAPS as eligible for up to 12 credits towards a participant's RAC recertification upon full completion.

A highly educative and valuable two-day in-house training session was organized for the benefit of those in manufacturing at Standard Process. This training was of immense value addition to senior and midlevel manufacturing executives at this company, which lays utmost emphasis on quality, safety and wellness. This training from GlobalCompliancePanel helped Standard Process, a company that attaches a high degree of importance to processes for all its manufacturing activities, understand ways by which to enhance these.

The need for evaluating product and processes

Evaluating product and processes is an imperative for almost all design and/or manufacturing companies. These are the reasons for which this evaluation needs to be made:

Managing risks
Validation of processes
Establishing product/process specifications to QC to such specifications
Monitoring compliance to such specifications

Lack of proper and thorough grasp of and correct implementation of statistical methods leads a company to having to face significant increases in its complaint rates, scrap rates, and time-to-market. As a result, such companies churn out poor quality in their products, leading to lowered customer satisfaction levels, severely impacting their bottom line.

At this two-day in-house training, Zorich helped participants understand the proper way of avoiding these issues, explaining how to apply statistics to manage risk in R&D, QA/QC, and Manufacturing. He peppered his presentation with solid, real life examples derived mainly from the manufacturing industry.

A learning session to help understand statistical methods

The aim of this training was to offer a hands-on approach by which professionals from the various levels at Standard Process could comprehend the ways to interpret and use a standard tool-box of statistical methods that consist of confidence intervals, t-tests, Normal K-tables, Normality tests, confidence/reliability calculations, AQL sampling plans, measurement equipment analysis, and Statistical Process Control. This learning assumes significance for a process-oriented manufacturer such as Standard Process. The Director conveyed this learning across to the participants very illuminatingly.

The end result was that at the end of these two days, the participants were equipped with far greater clarity on how to accurately employ and administer statistical methods, which can be used as a launchpad for introducing new products. The learning gained at this session would be of immense value in helping them meet challenges associated with statistical methods with poise and confidence.
