MCHENRY, Ill., Nov. 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Medela, Inc. is proud to announce an expansion of its award-winning, parent-focused campaign, Through It All, featuring real parents talking about their real-life parenting and breastfeeding experiences. The authentic voices and stories that are part of Through It All showcase the fact that there's no one way to be a parent, to be a mom or to breastfeed. Through It All highlights Medela's commitment to listen to parents, with the goal of bringing parents together to share the joys and challenges of early parenting.

This year, Through It All features parents of diverse backgrounds, sharing their personal stories, including all of the highs and lows. The moms in the group include working moms, first time moms, as well as a mom in the armed forces. The videos capture their candid, spontaneous discussions as they share experiences and support each other.

"I was so excited to be part of this campaign and share experiences with other moms. Medela has fostered a community of moms and resources for and by families. Together we are stronger and we help each other Through It All," said Bianca, mother of 9-month-old Xiomara and a U.S. Marine. "What amazed me the most, though, was the common bond we all share to do what's best for our babies, our families and ourselves."

Couples sharing unscripted anecdotes about topics including date night, pumping breast milk, and what amazes them about the power of breast milk are also part of this year's Through It All campaign. More videos will be posted in the coming months.

"Medela is extremely proud of the Through It All campaign, which is an expression of our commitment to support moms and families throughout their breastfeeding journey," said Melissa Gonzales, managing director of Medela USA. "Medela's support extends well beyond our great products to being a champion for moms and nurturing a community that connects them with each other and important services, such as the email link on our website that allows moms to consult one-on-one with our board-certified lactation consultant."

The Through It All campaign was recently recognized with several awards, including two 2016 Medical Marketing & Media (MM&M) gold awards, one for the best multichannel campaign (small to medium product size) and one for the best branded website for consumers. In addition, Through It All was awarded a bronze Telly in the online video/reality category. The campaign was also nominated for an IMPACT award for integrated campaign of the year.

You are invited to join the Through It All conversation on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, and visit the Through It All web site for more videos and information.
