"Vision screening the children is required by the State annually," said Scott Carlson, Special Education Director at the Child Development Center of Freemont County in Wyoming, which has 60 dedicated professionals managing 335 children from birth through age five. "We are fortunate to have four Plusoptix vision screeners. We have been using three of the screeners for about three years, and the fourth for five years.  We have multiple people doing screenings, so they share the devices and travel with them to different locations to conduct the screenings."

In addition to screening the children at the Child Development Center, the organization has screening contracts with 700 developmental schools in their region.  In other words, this organization does a great deal of vision screening each year.

"We had one of the devices getting jammed and called the company," said Carlson, who is in his 30th year at the Child Development Center.
