CeloNova BioSciences, Inc. (CeloNova) announced today that the Company's Executive Chairman and acting CEO, Dennert Ware, was inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame at the 34th Annual Induction Dinner held in San Antonio on Thursday, October 27.
Each year, the Texas Business Hall of Fame selects individuals to add into its hall of fame based on contributions to their field and the communities in which they actively serve. Since its inception, the Texas Business Hall of Fame has inducted more than 175 notable business legends from around the state. Ware joins six other Texas business leaders, including billionaire investor Warren Buffett and CEO of Southwest Airlines Gary Kelly, in the Hall of Fame’s Class of 2016. He is the only executive representing the healthcare sector among this year’s honorees.
“It’s a true privilege to be inducted into the Texas Business Hall of Fame and stand among some of the most distinguished business leaders of our generation,” said Ware. “I’m proud to represent the burgeoning Texas healthcare community in receiving this prestigious honor.”
Born in Kalamazoo, Michigan and having spent much of his life in Indiana, Ware was recruited to San Antonio in 2000 and has made his home here. With more than 40 years experience in the healthcare sector, Ware currently serves as Executive Chairman and acting CEO of San Antonio based CeloNova Biosciences, an innovative global medical device company that aims to transform the treatment of cardiovascular disease.
