Injured Workers Pharmacy (IWP) is pleased to announce that IWP Pharmacist, Dawn Getchell has been recognized with a Work Comp Laude award for exemplary contributions to the workers compensation industry.
The Comp Laude Awards, meaning “with honor” were presented on Saturday, November 5, 2016, to individuals and companies representing the workers compensation industry who are diligently working to change the story of workers compensation from a negative to a positive.
A clinical pharmacist with IWP since 2009 and a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston, Dawn was recognized for her work specific to a catastrophic work comp claim IWP was introduced to in 2015. Proficient in clinical pharmacology and patient medication therapy management, Dawn worked as a lead member of the healthcare team to assist in providing the patient and family with unparalleled pharmacy care management and a better outcome when faced with tragic circumstances.
“Our mission with this event is to show what is going right with our industry,” said Yvonne Guibert, WorkCompCentral Director of Marketing. “This event was the vision of WorkCompCentral’s founder, the late David DePaolo. He felt our industry gets so much negative press, he wanted to change the story of our industry. So we’ve designed these awards with rigorous judging protocols in place to identify the best of the best.”
“We are proud to have Dawn as part of our IWP team. As a company, we focus our attention on putting the patient first and that is evident by the personalized care we provide and is reason for Dawn’s recognition today, she exemplifies everything that we as a company represent,” said Ken Martino, IWP, CEO.
