RSS – Really Simple Syndication.

With so much content and news available on the web, it is increasingly important to focus on what information you really need. RSS feeds provide a way to access that information automatically and can be used by individuals using a news reader, or integrated into your own web site. It’s a bit like having your very own newspaper compiled for you every day.

Over time we will be providing dedicated RSS newsfeeds for specific categories of information. Lookout for the RSS logo on the pages of the site, or check out this page from time to time.

How do I get a news reader?

You can use a Reader (or aggregator) program such as FeedDemon, RSSReader, Awasu, Newz Crawler or SharpReader.

If you use Firefox, then try Sage.

If you’re a Mac user, try Newsfire or NetNewsFire. Search the web and you will find lots to choose from.

These programs are generally easy to install (and many are free), and you simply add the address of the RSS feeds that you want to keep an eye on to the program's "add feed" option. RSSReader for example, pops up as a small "headlines" box at the bottom right hand corner of your screen when new news is available. You can click on it to follow the links and read more.

How do I integrate PharmiWeb's RSS news into my website?

We are more than happy for you to use our RSS feed on your own web site, so long as you attribute the news to us, with “PharmiWeb News” or “News provided by PharmiWeb”. - please contact us to let us know if you are doing this, just so that we know.

Integration requires adding some code to your site, and depends upon the way the site is built. If you need help with the integration process, drop us a line and we should be able to help you.
