Market Access Strategy Manager

Job Summary:

In this role you will act as a Market Access Manager within a cross-functional team and make an active contribution to the best possible market access for new products of the company’s main products.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and creation of local value dossiers on product- and indication level for all newly introduced products or line extensions in line with current legislation
  • Provision of process and execution expertise in health economic and reimbursement activities
  • Preparation the requirements for negotiations with sickness funds and supports administration of contracts
  • Extracting, analyzing and working up of information about evolvement and execution practice of the German Health Care System ( AMNOG)
  • Responsibility for compliance with budgets and deadlines
  • Development of value strategy and story
  • Review and evaluation of evidence including identification and closure of gaps
  • Project management and collaboration with agencies
  • Execution of Market Access support in line with the marketing strategies of all products and understanding the importance of reimbursement for business success
  • Monitoring and evaluation of IQWiG and G-BA evaluation results of new drugs and develop strategic proposals and transfer recommendations to the clinical development plan
  • Preparation and participation in G-BA early advice meetings or oral hearings, preparation of written statements
  • Coordination and support of pricing negotiations with payer authorities and ensure optimal outcomes
  • Provision of competitive intelligence, identification of early opportunities and threats in the market and creates solutions to benefit from opportunities and to disarm threats.
  • Co-operation and support of other departments regarding the development of communication strategies for products assessed


Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 2-5 years relevant experience in market access/health economics/public health and expertise in preparing value dossiers to be submitted to the G-BA
  • University master degree in sciences, medicine, biology, chemistry, pharmacy or economics
  • University master degree or post graduate diploma in market access and/or public health preferred
  • In-depth knowledge of current trends in regulation, pricing and reimbursement
  • Knowledge in evidence - based medicine, HTA and statistics
  • Very good project management skills
  • Self-organized, structured and motivated
  • Hands on approach
  • Ability to complete projects and achieve goals on time while delivering high quality results
  • Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to effectively analyze data sets to determine strategies
  • Flexible team member with positive attitude, ability to prioritize projects and to manage internal cross functional groups
  • Good social skills and a representative appearance are essential
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Fluent in German and English
