Job Summary:

Support the management and training of existing and new systems within Global Clinical Development (GCD), including activities related to the selection, specification, testing, and implementation of new system(s), and activities related to the development and maintenance of existing systems, e.g., gathering system change requests, incorporating recommendations from users, and contributing to improving system(s).

Purpose:

Support the management and training of existing and new systems within Global Clinical Development (GCD), including activities related to the selection, specification, testing, and implementation of new system(s), and activities related to the development and maintenance of existing systems, e.g., gathering system change requests, incorporating recommendations from users, and contributing to improving system(s).

 

Main Responsibilities:

System training and testing (for internal personnel, regional personnel and other departments, as required):

  • Develop and write training material (e.g., training manuals, helpful hints, Navigation Sheets)
  • Schedule, deliver, and track training globally
  • Create training test scenarios for users and approve tests
  • Collect feedback on training, and develop and implement improvement ideas for user training
  • Systems management / Systems project management
  • Contribute to systems-related projects, e.g., organize / attend meetings, write minutes, contribute to project-related documents, liaise with other project team members
  • Interact with External Service Providers (ESPs) as required regarding systems-related projects and day-today running of existing systems
  • Support existing systems on the business side, attend team/system board meetings
  • Review of various clinical templates (e.g., Monitoring templates and instructions)
  • Review system-related documents, as required
  • Support system testing
  • Support system validation
  • Serve as a project manager from the business side for new systems (counterpart of Clinical Development Informatics & System [CDIS] project manager)
  • Coache new team members
  • Provide input into enhancing existing systems and support users in developing new user requirements

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • University degree
  • 2 to 5 years minimum experience in user support
  • 2 years minimum experience as System Manager or in System Management or willingness to move in this role
  • Ability to lead a business requirements discussion
  • Ability to author system documentation
  • Ability to participate / contribute to a technical discussion
  • Solid understanding of the clinical development process, needs, and terminologies
  • Experience in Good Practice Guidelines and Regulations (GxP) environment (understands validation concepts, etc.)
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Experience in the creation of training documentation, eLearning modules
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
