Requirements:

THE CLIENT

Is a leading global strategy consulting firm focusing on issues for a variety of biopharmaceutical companies, pharmaceutical companies, medical device companies, and government health authorities. Headquartered in New York City, with regional headquarters in London, San Francisco, and Shanghai, they maintain a continuous throughput of local market intelligence updates from advisors throughout 75 countries. Pricing and Market Access, Value Demonstration, Portfolio Optimisation, Commercial Planning, and Government Policy Advisory.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engagement leadership within Pricing and Market Access and Value Demonstration practices with support from Associate(s), Senior Analysts, and / or Analysts
  • Client management with light support from Managing Director
  • Office development / management and service as a coach / role-model for more junior associates / analysts
  • Thought leadership in pricing and market access
  • Proposal writing as training for future role as a business development executive

PERFORMANCE METRICS

  • Annual review
  • End of engagement reviews
  • Informal client feedback

REPORTING

  • The successful candidate will typically work on three or more engagements at any given time and report to the Managing Director leading those engagements
  • The successful candidate will report directly to one of the firm’s Managing Directors, who currently has strong client relationship at three major client companies; hence the ability to stand in as the face of the firm with high-level Managing Director guidance is critical
  • The Client also has a coaching / mentorship program. Shortly after arriving, the new Senior Associate / Principal will be assigned consultants to coach on career development issues
  • In addition to the formal mentor program, the Client prides itself on fostering a collegial atmosphere where informal guidance relating to both specific project work and career guidance is available from all senior staff.
  • The Senior Associate / Principal will direct teams of 4-6 analysts and associates across engagements.

  • Managing Directors
  • Principals / Practice Leaders
  • Associate / Senior Associate Peers
  • Analysts / Senior Analysts

EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDERS

  • Clients, which tend to be biopharmaceutical / pharmaceutical companies
  • Within these companies, the individuals with whom interaction occurs can range from CEO to administrative assistants, but most typically are Vice Presidents and Directors within the pricing, market access, health economics, marketing, or business development functions
  • Members of CBPartners’ GHAB (Global Health Advisory Board)

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
CONSULTING

  •  5-7 years as a top performer within a top-tier healthcare / pharmaceuticals strategy management consulting firm serving industry leading clients

LEADERSHIP

  • Internal and external leadership and maturity will be mandatory given the critical nature of the client business; it will be expected that the successful candidate will serve as a role model for more junior consultants by exalting CBPartners’ culture and principles.
