Entrust People are exclusively supporting a unique drug development organisation in the recruitment of an experienced Scientific Business Development/Sales Manager in the North East.
Our client provides preclinical services and expertise, specialising in investigative toxicology, exploratory and discovery toxicology, metabolism and pharmacokinetics. Their collaborative approach ties both industry expertise and extensive laboratory capabilities, in order to provide expert services in mechanistic and investigative toxicology, and ADME with emphasis on assessing the relevance of animal data to humans.
This opportunity will allow you to work alongside customers spanning the agrochemical, chemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and consumer product industries.
Playing a vital role within the Sales Team, be part of a distinctive business made up of highly skilled, personable individuals.
Responsibilities will include:
Ensure annual business sales targets are achieved or exceeded.
Responsible for the growth of new business opportunities. Identify and penetrate target accounts. Build relationships with key decision makers to develop opportunities and projects. Capture new lead/opportunities to develop a robust pipeline.
Manage key customer relationships, negotiate and generate customer proposals and agreements that deliver annual operating plan results.
Develop, implement and report on sales and budget progress.
Work cross functionally to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Educated to PhD level in Chemistry, Biochemistry or Pharmacology.
Industrial experience essentially, preferably in a CRO or pharma environment.
Technical sales and business development professional within analytical/Toxicology services both locally in UK and across the globe.
Strong communication skills in all forms.
A positive attitude to dealing with people. Ability to listen and to establish good personal connections.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Capable of hands on problem-solving, with ability to generate ideas and solutions.
Able to undertake international travel.
Full Driving Licence.
