Working as a Territory Manager within the Ophthalmology market, this exciting role will be working across Central & North London and the successful candidate will deliver, support and communicate central marketing strategies at territory level in line with the ABPI Code of Practice to those involved in treating eye diseases that ensure the short, medium and long-term success of the business unit strategic focus
We are currently recruiting for a market leading Pharmaceutical organisation with an exciting new opportunity working as a Territory Manager within the Ophthalmology market. This exciting role will be working across Central and North London and the successful candidate will deliver, support and communicate central marketing strategies at territory level in line with the ABPI Code of Practice to those involved in treating eye diseases that ensure the short, medium and long-term success of the business unit strategic focus.
Preferably educated to degree level, ideally with a science base, but not absolutely essential.
Secondary Care experience is essential.
Experience of selling into major hospitals and teaching hospitals.
Demonstrable skills in business planning and Key Account Management.
Full, preferably clean driving license.
Ability to take an account management approach to managing territory business.
Ability to manage the demands of a portfolio of products.
A current driving licence with no more than 6 points.
Achieves monthly, quarterly and annual market share growth for territory in line with agreed goals and objectives, and measured against the equivalent of other territories around the UK and Ireland.
Develop a strategy which manages promotional budget effectively and appropriately in order to drive and demonstrate a high level ROI
Drive and monitor sales through centrally generated sales reports
Create, implement and update with territory colleague Key Account Plan as required
Aligns territory activities to Ophthalmology marketing strategy:
Outlook connection and communication 3 times/week minimum
Ensure all activity and use of materials are compliant with ABPI / IPHA Code of Practice and company SOPs
Take responsibility to produce a process which identifies and informs management of impending formulary and tender dates for review.
Attendance at 3-4 sales meetings away from home will be required each year, lasting up to a week. One of these sales meetings may be abroad.
Demonstrate effective selling skills / incorporating IIBAC model using approved marketing materials supplied on the iPad.
Conduct regular territory updates as appropriate and as agreed with ASM
Share best practice with colleagues through appropriate communication channels as agreed with ASM
Communicate with territory colleague on regular basis (minimum 3/week) to ensure territory coverage is maintained
Communicate with line manager on a regular basis as agreed with ASM.
Deliver Ophthalmology strategy through varied and appropriate mediums as agreed with ASM
Communicates as appropriate with Customer Team Unit (RSS, Marketing, ASM,)
Reports patient adverse events to Pharmacovigilance department within expected timeframes
Some self-directed learning will be required (especially regarding compliance and integrity). This will need to be done in the TMs own study time.
