Our client is one of the leading NHS medicines optimisation services providers in the UK, working with a number of NHS commissioners and GP practices to provide a range of high quality patient-centred clinical services. Our client has enjoyed a long history of working with CCGs and practices to implement an evidence based approach to achieving the best outcomes from the investment in medicines. They are currently undergoing a period of growth and expansion, due to increasing demand from the NHS.
We are recruiting for some exciting and innovative opportunities to recruit Pharmacists from both practice and hospital backgrounds to work within GP practices and support them with the medicines optimisation agenda. They are looking for motivated, enthusiastic and professional individuals looking for either locum or full time work and to develop long-term career prospects.
Opportunities exist for full or part time as well as locum working options.
You must be a qualified Pharmacist with a minimum of 2 years post registration experience working in a primary care or hospital pharmacy environment.
Ideal candidates will have previous experience working within GP practices.
All applicants should be registered to the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and will have a GPhC Registration number and will need to provide evidence of this on application.
A current driving licence ideally with no more than 6 points is desired.
Primary care is facing an immediate crisis of falling workforce and rising demand. There is a widespread inability to recruit GPs as practices face the challenge of rising demand for primary care from an ageing, increasingly co-morbid population. Many pharmacists wish to move away from the bench and become more involved in patient care. Against a background of reducing remuneration rates and a large workforce, the opportunity exists for pharmacists to develop new skills, demonstrate expertise in new roles and develop a portfolio career to include other work/projects e.g. chronic disease clinics.
Where required, our client will provide a full training and induction programme to equip successful applicants to carry out their role as a practice pharmacist and develop your individual skill set specific for this role.
Flexible can do attitude needed to thrive in a fast growing company
Drive to ensure success
Self-motivation, persuasiveness and competitiveness
Good organisational skills
2 stages – Initial screening process followed by interview
Extremely competitive depending on experience
