Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Key Account Manager (KAM) with proven sales success and market access experience to join an exciting, growing biopharmaceutical company. The role is field based and will cover London, Surrey, Sussex and Kent and is the first of its kind for the company. The KAM will be responsible for developing strong relationships within the area in order to ensure the successful launch of new products.


  • Develop relationships with key decision makers
  • Create new business opportunities
  • Understanding of local commissioning pathway
  • Contribute to market access
  • Achieve sales targets
  • Develop account plans and strategies
  • Generate proposals  
  • Ensure compliance with codes of conduct and industry regulations
  • Work with other teams to help to develop solutions – market access, marketing, medical
  • Ability to travel within the UK and Ireland as well as internationally when required

Experience and Skills:

  • Substantial sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Working knowledge of the NHS organisational and commissioning structures
  • Previous experience with successful product launches in speciality/orphan areas
  • Experience with products preferably in liver diseases or gastroenterology/infectious diseases
  • Entrepreneurial and results driven


  • Degree in Science, Economics or related
  • Previous success in similar role
  • ABPI
  • Full driving licence
  • Fluent in English – written and spoken
