Job Summary:

Senior Medical Information Specialist with key focus on an Oncology launch. Role based in West London.

Requirements:

BACKGROUND

This role will suit a Medical Information Specialist looking for a more senior operational role. There could be scope for line management in the future.

Our client is the UK affiliate of a global biopharmaceutical company with a diverse portfolio and strong pipeline focused on areas of high unmet medical needs.

The office is based to the West of London with nearby underground and overland train stops.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

This role is the top position in our client’s UK and Ireland Medical Information operational function. You will be seen as the go to person for medical information.

The role has a strong emphasis on cross functional working with the medical and commercial teams, leading projects to help enhance the visibility of the medical information function across the company. This includes training company employees on medical information procedures.

The role will require you to remain hands-on with regards to medical information enquiry handling, deputising both above and below your level. This will include you being required to mentor junior staff.

Key focus is on an oncology launch, with coverage for the rest of the client’s portfolio.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Previous Medical Information experience within pharma is essential, including first line enquiry handling.

Demonstrable experience of successfully working in cross functional teams.

Life science / pharmacy degree or equivalent also essential.

Ability to operationally lead the medical information function. Ideally experience of previously mentoring junior staff
