** Ophthalmic / healthcare / medical device / CAS / Clinical Applications Specialist / Optician **
The purpose of the National Clinical Application Specialist role is to provide technical education and clinical support to customers during initial account installation to provide users onsite training and education. The portfolio will cover: Refractive product portfolio including managing installation, Advanced Intraocular Lens, and the Advanced Technology Diagnostic Portfolio. This is a field-based position with significant travel, estimated at 130 days per year.
Ideally, the candidate would be based in Scotland or North England with the ability to travel
•Lead technical education and clinical support programme to new users for the Alcon Portfolio
•Manage installation, education and sign off of in-service and training agreements
•Evaluate training and report back to Advanced Technology Sales Manager
•Assist the Advanced Technology Sales Manager and Advanced technology Development managers during product demonstrations and training sessions
•Provide Application and training support of Refractive portfolio (Wavelight and LenSx)

#LI-P Minimum requirements The ideal candidate will have:
•University degree qualification or equivalent in Life Sciences or a related field
•Experience working within an ophthalmic/healthcare environment or medical device background
•Thorough understanding of the UK Healthcare Market, with experience within the NHS and private sectors
•Commercial awareness of the UK and Ireland cataract and refractive markets - desirable
•Knowledge and understanding of relevant products, services and marketplace – advantageous
•Proven experience in developing and establishing successful key relationships and delivering excellent standards of customer training and service
