We are currently recruiting for the role of Regional Sales Manager for a well know and growing organisation. This is an exciting role for an experienced sales manager.

Requirements:

 

Reporting to the Director International Sales, this key role has been created to develop and grow the company's product portfolio within the areas of Eastern Europe and Maghreb.

 

The role requires close collaboration with a cross section of internal departments and our distribution network.  Strong commercial, technical, communication and leadership skills are key to success in this position

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Sales Responsibility for Region
    • Accomplish sales and organization’s mission by achieving related results.
  • Sales accountability within designated region for the company's product portfolios.
  • Implement, execute and accurately forecast quarterly sales budgets for territory.
  • Aligned with management, develop corrective actions so sales and gross margin objectives continue to be attainable.
  • Management of regional distributors.
    • Cooperate proactively with and manage the key distributors across the region to develop and implement agreed sales & marketing strategies and plans.
    • Research, identify, assess and appoint distributors in new markets.
    • Rationalise distributors where necessary.
    • Proactive teamwork within Sales & Marketing
      • Positive involvement in product launch activities in the Sales & Marketing team.
      • With Marketing Team influence the key markets to:
        • Ensure adequate training of end-users and distributors.
        • Obtain distributor commitment for marketing activities to achieve goals.
        • Aid the cultivation of local Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
        • Work with distributors and KOLs to establish clinical evaluations of products.
        • Gather market information; be present & learn about the market.
        • Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors. Keep abreast of technology and competitor trends.
        • Meet customers, KOLs and join scientific meetings as appropriate.
    • Create a sales plan for territory in support of international objectives.
    • Achieve regional sales objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
    • Meet regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing budget and expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
    • Prepare and complete action plans, identifying trends and regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
    • Monitor product supply quality and customer-service standards; resolving problems
    • Maintain and expand customer base, building and maintaining rapport with key distributors and key customers.
    • Identify new customer opportunities.

  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks

 

SPECIFIC SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Bachelor and/or Masters of Science, or equivalent life science qualification
  • A diploma or relevant business qualification desirable but not essential though a Masters in Business/Management is advantageous

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5 to 10 years sales experience with demonstrated success in:
    • Technical sales role within  in-vitro diagnostics
    • Key Account Management experience in the in-vitro diagnostics market
    • Distributor Management within in-vitro diagnostics
    • Proven, verifiable track record of delivering sales growth.
    • History of successful performance and profitability management.
    • Experience across product portfolio an advantage
    • Cardiac Markers and Emergency Room experience is desirable
    • Fluent in written and spoken English.  Other languages are a plus.
    • Experience of working in European and Maghreb markets is an advantage.
    • This role requires cross-functional experience and knowledge in all areas of In Vitro Diagnostics (e.g. from R&D through Quality and Regulatory and Commercial).
