Serves as a key member of the GCD Informatics team, applying strategic thought and analysis to defining and developing meaningful metrics and visualizations that enable efficient and effective management of the business. Key participant in clinical informatics projects and initiatives delivering insightful analyses and recommendations. Provides data-driven strategies that align with corporate objectives and address business issues/opportunities. The position involved cross-functional interaction with many individuals at all levels of the organization. The ability to work efficiently and communicate effectively across these boundaries will be one of the keys to success.
Strong background in resource and capacity management a requirement, understanding the challenges associated with resourcing multiple roles across multiple locations and a proven ability to implement process efficiencies. He/she will be a strategic thinker and a key contributor to developing models to predict future resourcing needs across the business.
Contributes to defining, optimizing and generating metrics, metrics reports and scorecards to assess operational performance, including operational delivery, productivity, financial and quality performance.
Key participant in clinical informatics projects and initiatives. Delivers insightful analyses and recommendations to senior leadership from the evaluation and interpretation of data.
Collaborates with multiple stakeholdersto design, develop, maintain, and enhance metrics and associated analytical reports and dashboards.
Provides consultation and oversight of data gathering and defining operational user requirements / functional specifications.
Provides strategic direction to staff through line management of a team. Accountable for effective recruitment, induction, talent development and retention of staff. Provides ongoing coaching and feedback including formal performance appraisals, development plans and career coaching.
Develops algorithmic approach to forecast future planning needs in conjunction with partners from the commercial & finance functions within the business
Identifies opportunities for streamlining processes across functions that deliver operational efficiencies, develops proposals and oversees implementation
Develops and implements change management plans and ensures success measures are defined and monitored
Develops tools and approaches to support process improvement along with associated training
Resource Management, Analytics Optimization, Planning and Resource Management
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification
8 - 10 years of progressive career experience to include 3 years of progressive experience with metrics and data analysis ideally in a clinical development research environment
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel, Powerpoint. Knowledge of Spotfire preferable
Skilled in process improvement, especially as it applies to resource and capacity management
Good knowledge of change management tools and methodologies
Ability to foster a collaborative approach to manage conflict to achieve solutions. Able to persuade, influence and mobilize cross functional teams
Highly effective interpersonal skills, tailors approach and can influence behaviours
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, precise and concise written and presentation materials
Investigative and analytical skills. Demonstrates reasoned logic to decision making and judgement. Is able to recommend, develop & implement solutions in complex situtations
Ability to multi-task and perform under stress
Ability to apply basic principles to solve conceptual issues. Successful candidate will have direct experience leading transformative operations projects or initiatives that have resulted in improved business delivery
