Based at our key Early Development site in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, you will enjoy a position at the very forefront of our toxicology operations. Indeed, as an experienced Technician, you will be provided with the opportunity to leverage your procedural expertise and professional enthusiasm to ensure the accurate collection and recording of scientific data – in-line with the requirements of our clients' drug development studies.


The role of the Licensed Animal Technician is primarily concerned with the day to day husbandry/care of animals within Animal House Operations and the collection / recording of scientific data. The role involves learning and conducting routine regulated animal procedures licensed under UK legislation.



  • Being responsible for the in-life aspects of toxicology studies in all species
  • Performing technical procedures using your home office license
  • Recording data to support regulatory compliance and animal welfare


The job can be hard work and physically demanding but you will gain an enormous sense of satisfaction knowing that your contribution is helping new, lifesaving medicines be developed.


Required skills, Experience and education:

  • Be passionate about animal welfare and our industry 
  • Have previous experience in the Research industry (previous experience of working with animals in a regulated environment would be an advantage but is not essential)
  • Have an enthusiastic and committed attitude 
  • Be reliable with a hardworking approach to the job 
  • Like to work in a fast moving professional team environment Be proficient in basic numeracy and literacy
