Evidence News and Information Specialist

We have positions in Orthopaedic Reconstruction, Advanced Wound Management, Sports Medicine and Trauma:
· Orthopaedics Reconstruction - joint replacement systems for knees, hips and shoulders
· Advanced Wound Management - wound care treatment and prevention products used to treat hard-to- heal wounds
· Sports Medicine - minimally invasive surgery of the joint
· Trauma & Extremities - products that help repair broken bones

The purpose of this role is to develop, deliver and manage Scientific & Medical Affairs' evidence news and information services.
The role will manage and deliver a number of evidence news services, including the SMArt News quarterly communication and the SMArt Evidence update service. The successful candidate will also lead the concept and development of new services, as appropriate. Additionally, the role will manage SMA's information platforms, including its intranet (Compass) pages and Yammer group, and will liaise with other communicators in the company to ensure the most appropriate communication of SMA's materials and information via the company's key platforms and channels. In addition, the role will be responsible for collating and reporting on the metrics for evidence communication materials and platforms.
In this role, you will be responsible to:
Lead and deliver the Evidence Communication evidence news services, including SMArt News and SMArt Evidence, and any further services as appropriate
Coordinate, update and oversee all Scientific & Medical Affairs communication platforms, to ensure appropriate, accurate, consistent and up-to-date information is communicated both inside and outside the company
Develop and update yearly evidence reference lists for every major product
Develop metrics to measure the execution and success of services and communications, and provide regular reports on these metrics
Work with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure needs are met for news and information services
Ensure Evidence Communications news and information services meet all Legal, Regulatory and Compliance requirements
Apart from a great attitude, we are also looking for the following criteria:
Degree, preferably in a Communications or Scientific or Medical subject
Experience of writing and editing experience in a communications role, including experience of leading multiple complex projects
Experience of website or intranet page / site editing, together with Content Management System experience
Experience of using marketing campaign (email) tools preferable
Experience in orthopaedics or a medical industry, together with developing scientific or medical communications, preferred
Experience of developing innovative communications in a variety of formats, including print, web and / or digital application-based preferred
Experience of working with external consultants / agencies
A competitive remuneration package is on offer, commensurate with experience.
