Job Description SummaryLead the engineering maintenance function to deliver maintenance-excellence by ensuring cost effective compliance and availability of systems and equipment in support of operations and laboratories at Lonza Biopharmaceuticals at Slough.

 

Job Description
  • Lead, develop and coach the people and resources in the team to continuously improve individual and team behaviours and competencies (this should be primarily focussed on raising compliance, performance and cost effectiveness of site maintenance).
  • Develop, communicate and implement strategies to continuously improve and sustain efficient and effective maintenance using Operational Excellence techniques to enable best in class performance.
  • Plan and control all maintenance activities to deliver on time maintenance and zero overdue critical activities or documents.
  • Budget and control all costs and resources associated with Operations and Laboratory maintenance.
  • Measure and report required KPIs to agreed frequencies, taking the necessary actions to improve performance to meet the required KPI standards.
  • Effective development and operation of maintenance support systems e.g. planning and scheduling, CMMS system, Engineering spares system, systems for measurement and reporting maintenance performance and customer satisfaction, budgeting and cost control systems.
  • EHS and GMP compliance to ensure all systems and equipment are maintained within legal and validated GMP criteria.
  • Planned Preventative maintenance is completed compliantly and on time.
  • Lead customer and regulatory audits for the maintenance team.
  • Delivering improved value for money through innovation, waste reduction and cost control.
