We are innovation, curiosity and diversity – multiplied by 80,000 professionals in 150 countries. As a global leader in research-focused healthcare, we’re constantly learning and growing – and seeking people who share these goals.

As a Senior Outcomes Research scientist, you will help develop Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) strategies within Neuroscience. You will leverage your technical and communication skills to support decision-making in cross functional teams while demonstrating the Roche values of integrity, courage, and passion, which is the foundation of our culture.

Ensuring that PCOR is translated into real business deliverables, you’ll look at the humanistic impact of conditions and treatments whilst considering whether instruments (Clinical Outcome Assessments: Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs), Clinician-Reported Outcomes (ClinROs), Observer-Reported Outcomes (ObsROs) and Performance Outcomes (PerfOs)), are fit-for-purpose, including assessment of content validity and psychometric properties specific to the context of use.

Your role will also involve input into target product profiles, protocols, statistical analysis plans, and clinical study reports. You will be responsible for vendor management to oversee various types of interviews with patients and caregivers. You will lead regulatory dossier development (EMA & FDA) and provide strategic input into relevant market access teams. Throughout the drug development lifecycle you will closely collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders, you may participate in, or lead advisory board meetings, publish your research and be a part of external efforts such as International Society of Quality of Life Research (ISOQOL), International Society of Pharmacoeconomics & Outcomes Research (ISPOR) and  C-PATH working groups

Who you are

You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies. Where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.

You’re someone who wants to influence your own development. You’re looking for a company where you have the opportunity to pursue your interests across functions and geographies, and where a job title is not considered the final definition of who you are, but the starting point.

Specifically you will have solid experience in patient reported outcomes and will have led projects in the development and validation of COAs. You will leverage your clinical outcome expertise to aid interpretation of patient related data, extract understanding and identify and meet needs. You will be educated to a Masters level.
