Requirements:

PPD has an exciting new opportunity for a Clinical Manager/Senior Clinical Manager/Associate Director, Clinical Management to join our growing team in Germany.

 

This job holder will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Clinical Research Associates (CRA) in Germany, and will report to the Director of Clinical Management.

 

With responsibility for the line management of your own team of CRA's, you will work closely with the Senior Clinical Management and be involved with the recruitment, mentoring and training of clinical employees, ensuring they deliver their operational goals.

 

The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical research and CRA background and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements within Germany, and significant line management and training experience.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a life science related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the individual with the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • In some cases, an equivalent combination of education, professional training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
  • Significant clinical research/CRA experience including remote and clinical monitoring and experience in all phases of study life cycle, including start up, interim and close out.
  • Several years of experience line managing clinical staff is strongly preferrred, 2 years minimum required
  • Valid Driver's License and Passport.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent mentoring/leadership/supervisory skills
  • Advanced knowledge of clinical trials monitoring; Remote and on-site
  • Demonstrated understanding of or ability to learn PPD SOPs, WPDs, and relevant regulations (e.g. ICH/GCP, FDA guidelines)
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate medical research data
  • Strong organizational and negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Good knowledge of English language and grammar
  • Competent use of computer to include data entry, archival and retrieval
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Excellent team player with team building skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to utilize problem-solving techniques applicable to constantly changing environment
  • Solid knowledge of medical/therapeutic areas and medical terminology
