Job purpose:

The purpose of the Account Manager role is to be responsible for obtaining the maximum sales in accordance with established sales targets for his/her territorial responsibility. Reporting to the North Regional Sales Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for the promotion of the Alcon ophthalmic cataract surgery portfolio which includes capital equipment, consumables, intraocular lenses and clinical services.

This is a mobile role and the ideal base location is Manchester to cover Central Manchester, Stockport, South-West Yorkshire with a little travel to North Wales.

Account Manager: Surgical Sales, Alcon, UK

Key responsibilities:
•Develop quarterly and annual business plans to achieve territory sales targets with new and existing customers.
•Maintain and optimise the use of Alcon surgical products with existing customers to ensure best surgical outcomes
•Develop territory strategy to support the adoption of new to launch products
•Manage all tenders and pricing contracts on territory
•Work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders across the other Alcon surgical teams to best support customers with effective surgical solutions to eye care.

#LI-P Minimum requirements The ideal candidate will have:

•University degree qualification or equivalent in Life Sciences or a related field
•Ophthalmic surgical sales experience with a track record of appropriate achievements – desired
•Proven experience in medical devices and medical capital sales environment
•Experience of selling within hospital/surgical theatre environment – desired, not essential
Candidates must hold a clean driving licence and be able to travel freely
