Job Summary:

With an extensive background in clinical monitoring and line management you will be responsible for the management of the clinical monitoring team across the Netherlands and Belgium. This role is critical in ensuring the effective support, training and development of our field monitors and clinical trial assistants.

Job Description:

Supervise, train and mentor Clinical Monitoring staff on monitoring and internal
procedures
Manage performance activities of Clinical Monitoring staff to include coaching,
appraising, identifying, and resolving performance issues
Recruit and interview Clinical Monitoring staff
Coordinate and conduct new employee orientation and training
Collaborate with Project Managers to coordinate orientation and training plans
and follow up on performance issues
Provide ongoing targets and metrics with regard to the progress of the team
against performance goals and objectives to ensure all are managing their staff
to meet these targets and are taking whatever remedial action is required
Ensure Clinical Monitoring compliance with company policies, SOPs, federal and
local guidelines and GCPs
Perform Quality Assessment Visit annually or at required interval for all Clinical
Monitoring staff
Conduct training needs analysis of Clinical Monitoring staff (including on-site
evaluation) to develop and manage individualized training and development
plans
Serve as a resource and mentor for monitoring questions, issues, and regulatory
requirements
Participate in client meetings; represent Clinical Monitoring function at client
audits
In some regions, may perform clinical monitoring and site management duties
Review and approve monitoring trip reports if requested

 

Experience Required:

Previous experience in clinical research, data management or regulatory affairs, with demonstrated experience in clinical monitoring
Extensive knowledge of GCP/ICH Guidelines and other applicable regulatory
requirements
Ability to provide clear direction and guidance to others
Must demonstrate good computer skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
Fluency in English and Dutch, French nice to have
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time

 

Education Required:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or Nursing degree/RN
from an accredited nursing school
