Roles & Responsibilities of the position

Critical to the project is the role of Manager – Project Management. The Manager is responsible for Recruiting, Managing and Leading FSP staff across their respective region.

Key Responsibilities include:
• Ensuring FSP staff are adequately trained and adhere to all appropriate SOPs, policies and applicable regulations and guidelines
• Ensuring FSP staff achieve expected quality compliance standards with all appropriate SOPs, policies, regulations and guidelines
• Making study/site assignments in conjunction with company team
• Ensuring FSP staff meet expected study timelines and deliverables
• Supporting FSP staff to achieve delivery of study objectives
• Providing regular feedback to company management about operations of the FSP staff
• Evaluating performance metrics to identify process improvement areas
• Acting as point of contact for company CPOM or PRM or delegate
• Carrying out performance management for staff not meeting appropriate sponsor expectations

Critical Success Factors for the Line Manager role include:
• Experience managing direct line reports, not just responsibility for a project team
• Desire to manage people, rather than projects
• Strong training skills
• Experience anticipating and resolving problems

Job Requirements

• BA/BS/BSc or RN
• Experience working as a Study Manager / Project Manager working on industry-sponsored or industry-partnered clinical trials at academic institutions, or working on clinical trials at a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company. Ideally minimum two years’ experience, five years’ experience preferred
• Previous experience in managing direct reports is essential
• Relevant therapeutic area experience
• Full-time availability
• Full and valid UK working eligibility
• Ideally able to start asap/immediately

Remuneration & other details

• Permanent contract of employment
• Full-time
• Office-based in our office in Marlow (Bucks) with 2 days per week home-working flexibility)
• Market leading salary ranging depending on level of skills and experience, plus company benefits (25 days annual leave, pension, car allowance, life assurance, healthcare cover)
