Providing operational support and leadership to the PDQA organisation, you’ll take on responsibility for the management of the resourcing of the audit program, communication, project management, planning and resource management, delivering direction and leadership that results in positive operational outcomes for PDQA. Coordinating internal processes, tools and training, you’ll deliver a comprehensive program of communications and information for PDQA which supports key learning activities and frameworks needed by to meet the business objectives.
Leading the Strategic Operations Team, you’ll be responsible for the management and development of team members and resources, defining individual objectives and performance management procedures whilst overseeing expenditure. You’ll also work in collaboration with the PDQA Senior Leadership Team, quantifying annual goals, metrics and strategies, including people development, annual auditing plans and functional initiatives. Contributing to the ongoing development of inspection readiness programs, escalation of compliance issues and revision of PDQA policy, you’ll offer strategic input to ensure that quality assurance initiatives produce optimal results.

With a degree in a scientific field or similar equivalent, you’ll bring with you a comprehensive understanding of quality assurance within the pharmaceutical sector. Experienced in managing audit programs, you’ll also be a competent project manager, skilled in overseeing the development of processes and implementation of change. Capable of supervising skilled teams in an international matrix organisation and operating within GCP, GLP, CSV and drug safety guidelines, you’ll need to be highly organised, knowledgeable and a confident leader.

This position can be based in either Welwyn or Basel.

Supported by major motorways & airports as well as being a 30 minute train ride to London, access is easy. With over 1400 people occupying our site in Welwyn, you can expect opportunities in Early Development (pRED), Product Development (PD), Commercial (Rx) and of course our corporate function.
