Associate Director, Programming - CRO (Flexibility Home-based EU)
£70,000 - £85,000 + benefits + bonus

Leading CRO currently looking for an Associate Director of Statistical Programming to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Associate Director will oversee a team of Statistical Programmers and Programming Managers and will be responsible for the development of existing staff as well as the recruitment of new team members.
No line management but will act as a technical Subject Matter Expert.
Our client is happy to consider strong Principal Statistical Programmers looking for their next career step.

The main tasks will be:

*Standard Operating Procedures and Working Practice Documents coordination & implementation
*Identify needs and develop strategic initiatives in cooperation with the senior management team
*Being actively part of the recruitment process for new staffs across Europe.
*Supervision over programming managers and programming staff within the Department of Biostatistics
*Making sure that the Programming technology and techniques knowledge is spread around the team through a well organised training & mentoring.
*Participate and manage in the development of training material and standard processes to facilitate resource sharing and consistency
*Work with staff to develop short term and long term career development goals.
*Be familiar with any relevant contractual obligations or limits with our clients.
*Work directly with project team leaders and client representatives to assess and develop project goals and timelines.

To succeed in this role, you will have the following skills and profile:

*Demonstrated professional experience as a Principal, Manager or Ass Director in Programming, developed in a pharmaceutical company, CRO or Biotech / Biopharma
*Ability to train, supervise and mentor others.
*Ability to facilitate communications with clients, project teams, departments and staff.
*Ability to assist business development in the process of obtaining new clients and retaining existing clients.
*Ability to make decisions on company policies and procedures regarding programming.
*Understand and track project budgets.
*Expertise in CDISC data standards (SDTM, ADaM) is a must
*Understanding of database structures and complex data structures
*Excellent communication and presentation of results skills
