We are currently recruiting for a market leading pharmaceutical organisation with an exciting new opportunity working as a National Strategic Account Manager within the Pain Management market. This exciting role will be working nationally and the main objective is to lead and direct the team within strategic geographies to enable them to achieve their potential.

We are currently recruiting for a market leading pharmaceutical organisation with an exciting new opportunity working as a National Strategic Account Manager within the Pain Management market. This exciting role will be working nationally and the main objective is to lead and direct the team within strategic geographies to enable them to achieve their potential.

Essential Requirements: 
Demonstrable experience in Pharmaceutical industry including experience and proven success in a 1st Line Management role. 
Refined interpersonal skills with abilities to present to people at differing levels to ensure business opportunities are optimised through for example, patient pathway development.
Significant working knowledge and experience with NHS / Health Development Management 
Excellent knowledge of NHS Policy is essential
Selling skills with emphasis on payer NHS focus
Detailed knowledge of the company's product and associate diseases
Strong key account skills and previous people and project management experience
Display effective team work in diverse groups
Evidence of gaining formulary and guideline inclusion at hospital and CCG level
Experience of communication to NHS payers, e.g. CCGs, Vanguards etc.
Demonstrable ability to sell at all levels with the proven ability to overcome barriers
Appropriate information technology (“computer”) skills and working knowledge / experience of standard software tools
ABPI qualified. 
A current driving licence with no more than 6 points.

Role Responsibilities:
To fully understand the current provision of NHS healthcare (local, regional and national) and anticipate how this is likely to change in the future particularly at territory level.
To analyse local health needs and develop health services to meet these needs.
To develop solutions with key stakeholders to increase patient access to our client’s products.
Ensure this intelligence is shared with relevant internal and external customers.
To provide direction to a market access team to maximise product usage, formulary inclusions and formulary status within local health economies, ensuring they take responsibility and are actively involved in the development of account plans with local teams.
To motivate and empower the team to deliver business goals.
Liaise with senior members of the NHS in regionally and nationally to ensure patient access to the company’s products.
To develop an annual market access plan for the region showing how business/corporate goals will be achieved.
To establish effective performance management systems across area of responsibility to ensure commercial targets and other key performance indicators are achieved; to robustly monitor performance via objectives of the team and initiate corrective action as required.
To conduct regular field visits with market access team to ensure their commercial and account management skills meet required standards
