Job Summary:

I am currently working on a new fantastic opportunity for my client who is looking for a Director of Project Management (UK & Germany). If you are looking to work for a niche CRO who value your work and quality over quantity then make yourself known and get in touch!

Requirements:

This company is a new formed small boutique CRO that work very differently to the standard ‘Global’ CRO even with an international presence they very much look at work in a different way, they focus on quality of the projects rather than the quantity, thus leading them the win studies and projects over the usual CROs. This is an ideal company for someone who feels over worked and undervalued!

In this role you will be acting as the first point of call for all project management functions and direct line manager for the project managers.

This role is office based in the Berkshire area.

I am looking to talk to people who have experience in Project Directing clinical trials.

You role responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

Manage a team of project managers seeking to ensure that staffing of the team is appropriate for the business’s needs and workload by recruiting and retaining the best possible people for the role;
Have responsibility to manage the profitability of projects managed by his / her team;
Act as a coach and mentor to his / her team ensuring that we provide an environment in which team members can continue to grow and develop; and
Maintain their project management skills, in by acting as the senior project manager in a team of project managers for larger and more complex projects or by directly managing projects.
To manage a team of project managers: identifying the resource requirement and ensuring the recruitment of team members to meet that requirement; ensure there is a fair distribution of studies across PMs matching skills and experience with study requirements both within his / her team and within all PM teams; ensure the delivery of studies within the study budgets and achieving optimal profitability.
To work with other DoPMs to develop best practice for project management and study conduct according to industry best practice, ICH-GCP, other GxP regimes and to contribute to and author SOPs and other operational guidelines
To participate in the Business Development activities lead by the Commercial Development Group and taking an active role in developing client relations, ensuring team members develop client relations and participating in proposal and budget development, Bid Defence meetings and project start up
