Job Summary:

We are looking for a Balloon Development Engineer on behalf of a Galway based medical device company.


A leading medical device manufacturer now have a vacancy for a Balloon Development Engineer.

This is a permanent, full time role based in Galway.


Develop new and existing balloon products from concept to completion.
Design new extrusion and tooling for new products on production equipment.
Develop process parameters to ensure product meets specification.
Transfer of new products through development to production.
Build customer relationships.
Management of various projects.
Document specifications, manufacturing processes and process parameter settings.


Degree, or equivalent, in related field with medical device experience.
Experience with balloon forming technology and testing.
Mechanical background with knowledge of polymer materials and technologies.
Innovative, motivated and proactive with excellent communication and organisational skills.
