An exciting opportunity has arisen for two Professional Project Planners to join our Clinical Research Organization (CRO) Quanticate. As the Project Planner you will be an advanced user of Microsoft Project, providing continuous support to the Project Delivery Managers in the build and maintenance of all Microsoft Project Plans.
•Build and maintain baseline schedules for Project Delivery Managers
•Build initial plans from Excel based costing tools and reviewed with Project Delivery Managers on a frequent basis
•Support scheduling activities for new projects with multiple stakeholders
•Report monthly performance against plans, including risks to key milestones and interim client deliverables
•Conduct scheduled reviews with Project Delivery Managers to ensure that project plan dependencies are updated on at least a weekly basis
•Manage project scoping and helped to support the identification and documentation of out of scope activities
•To provide subject matter expert support in Microsoft Project
•Preferably educated to a degree level
•Demonstrated experience working as a Professional Project Planner with Microsoft Project as the primary planning tool
•Demonstrable knowledge of managing projects, tracking and reporting progress using Microsoft Project
•Built and maintain baseline schedules for Project Delivery Managers
•Built initial plans from Excel based costing tools and reviewed with Project Delivery Managers on a frequent basis
•Supported scheduling activities for new projects with multiple stakeholders
•Reported monthly performance against plans, including risks to key milestones and interim client deliverables
•Conducted scheduled reviews with Project Delivery Managers to ensure that project plan dependencies are updated on at least a weekly basis
•Managed project scoping and helped to support the identification and documentation of out of scope activities
•Provided subject matter expert support in Microsoft Project
•Demonstrated teamwork with other members of a PMO team to ensure a consistent project planning approach across departments and Project Delivery Managers
•Microsoft Project to an advanced level is essential
•Excel to an advanced level is highly desirable
•Ability to communicate effectively to many different levels of stakeholders
•Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
•Proven experience working in a dynamic, matrix environment on a large number of widely varying projects and programmes
