Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Graphic Designer to join our global QuintilesIMS creative team, to design a wide variety of print, digital and e-learning materials. These are mainly based on approved concepts and client branding guidelines, there will also be the opportunity to develop creative concepts working closely with the art director. Ideally you will have a background in design /med comms/pharma/advertising. Role includes competitive salary & great benefits!

Requirements:

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Graphic Designer to join our global QuintilesIMS creative team, to design a wide variety of print, digital and e-learning materials. These are mainly based on approved concepts and client branding guidelines, there will also be the opportunity to develop creative concepts working closely with the art director.  

Within this role you will design printed collateral, develop branding, influence Web design, generate presentation materials, create illustrations including technical graphics, reports as well as collaborating with other designers, print production, project managers, stakeholders and copywriters to develop the final deliverable.

Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience within print design along with possessing creative and technical abilities and will be highly functioning and used to working in a fast paced environment across multiple projects.

Ideally you will have a background in design /med comms/pharma/advertising experience along with being fluent in Adobe creative cloud – InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop and ppt. Knowledge of e-learning and digital experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities to expect as Graphic Designer:

As appropriate, develop designs and layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts as directed by the Art Director or Studio Manager.

Lay out illustrations, printed collateral, company branding and logos, Internet Web sites, and presentation materials as required by the senior creative staff.

Create illustrations including technical graphics, line art, forms, flow charts, screens and reports using design applications as required by the senior creative staff. Create figures from supplied scientific data tables.

Collaborate with other designers, production, departments, stakeholders, printers, and copywriter to develop the final deliverable for senior creative staff approval.

With some guidance, deliver projects in accordance with budgeted hours and agreed deadlines. Monitor creative items to ensure they are of the highest quality for agreed specification and budget.

Check all proof stages from initial layouts to colour printers' proofs. Prepare files for electronic release/printing and review press proofs.

Keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly design programs and other industry-related developments.

Qualifications & experience required:

Background in design / advertising / med comms agency, ideally with some Pharmaceutical/Healthcare exposure
MAC user

Demonstrable experience using current Adobe Suite applications (InDesign/Photoshop/Illustrator),

Knowledge of print & web design

Creative design and layout abilities

Artworking skills

Proven design and design project management experience

Middle weight designer, confident in guiding on design issues

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)

Good layout and typesetting skills and knowledge of design and print production processes.

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Excellent eye for detail.

Ability to work both within a team environment and independently to prioritise tasks.

Ability to maintain demanding timelines.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders.

Bachelor degree in a field related to art of graphic design & demonstrable experience in graphics industry or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Full eligibility to work full-time in the UK
