We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, for a Continuous Improvement/Lean Manager. This is an exciting opportunity with a growing company.
The CI Manager will have experience working with Lean production, be motivated by the opportunity to create results that will be of great benefit for the business and our colleagues.
The purpose of the role is to support local management in driving Continuous improvement to ensure CI is embedded as a way of working. Role and responsibilities for Local CI Manager:
? Promote and develop CI locally to drive and sustain the local CI culture and an “every day counts” mind-set.
? Manage a local portfolio of transformation and improvement projects / initiatives. Reporting status and progress to direct management and CI CoE via dotted lines.
? Identify and execute / facilitate CI activities and projects locally.
? Deploy relevant systems and tools to support a CI culture.
? Ensure that CI standards are deployed and respected locally.
? Identify and organise necessary training locally. Aligned with CI CoE to ensure harmonisation across GPS.
? Educate, coach and inspire local management, such that they become role models for the rest of the organization.
? Contribute to a strong local and global CI community. Act as key member in CI community contributing actively in meetings, development of the company way, best practice sharing etc. to align and improve CI across GPS.
? Report into CI Centre of Excellence via dotted lines to ensure alignment and progress on CI activities.
? Potentially play a global Subject Matter Expert (SME) role on selected topics.
? Lead a local CI team of dedicated resources (CI Professionals).
The Person - the right candidate should have the following experience and competencies:
? Master Black Belt certification in Lean or similar, min 10 years of experience (ambition by 2020: all CI resources act at Black Belt level).
? Operational experience, min 5 years, preferably pharma experience.
? Change management skills with documented experience from similar change transitions aiming at driving culture in a structured way.
? Project management skills and experience with portfolio management incl. scoping, delivering, and follow up.
? Role model for continuous improvement (i.e. a real Lean Leader).
? Ability to coach business leaders to be role models.
? Good communication skills.
? The CI Manager must have a wide span and be able to cover conceptual discussions (strategic level) to very detailed CI tool discussions at shop floor (operational level).
