Job Summary:

We are recruiting for a Strategic Account Manager to develop the optimal environment conditions for GRT products. Anticipate and understand local NHS priorities and aligning these to the marketing and brand goals

Requirements:

Role Purpose

Develop the optimal environment conditions for GRT products. Anticipate and understand local NHS priorities and aligning these to the marketing and brand goals. Propose business recommendations and options to the business unit to ensure best in class account plans are created, implemented and assessed with appropriate actions assigned within the account team.  Develop formularies, guidelines, patient pathways, service specifications, local commissioning/providers plans so that they include pain and GRT products where apporiate in adherence to the PMCPA code of practice. This should result in positive demonstrable outcomes for GRT, patients and the NHS.  To anticipate, understand and address the needs of prescriber, payer or healthcare provision influencer customers with regard to budgetary or guidelines implementation proactively within the licence indication for Grunenthal products in adherence to the PMCPA Code of Practice.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Create GRT and product advocacy with payers and commissioners with specific focus on the following customers; Health Board, LCG, CHP, CCG, CSU, Trust Area Teams, Academic Networks, APCs and Medicine Optimisation bodies, alongside Key Clinicians
  • Analyse and interpret local NHS data sets alongside GRT data to assess opportunities and successes of ongoing account plans, or intiatives
  • Use Health Outcomes materials for local business need e.g. formulary application templates / business cases
  • Develop joint working programmes and utilise GRT services improvement programmes in line with GRT, ABPI and DoH best practice guidance
  • Works cross functionally with internal market access partners
  • To proactively propose alternative solutions for business issues across the region.
  • To monitor, review and amend current account plans, frequently and fully
  • To be an expert in the relevant products and disease areas in line with passing Pain Expert Curriculum validation
  • To maintain all records within the @dvance system and work to the required standards for content and timelines
  • To be able to work across and contribute to multiple business objectives whilst maintaining high personal output
  • To achieve cycle plans as agreed by the company and in line with PMCPA code of practice guidance
  • To understand and demonstrate role model use of current marketing strategies, tools and initiatives as part of the sales process, while ensuring compliance to company SOPs, WINs etc.
  • To be able to act on business intelligence to understand customer needs in order to improve the in call process, negotiations and gain commitment to action
  • To undertake all company administration processes in a full and timely manner

Professional Experience, Education and Skills

  • Degree or other relevant qualification
  • Hold a current ABPI certificate (or pass within 2 years)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Fluent knowledge of English (spoken and written)
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience in both primary and secondary care, with evidence of managing complex NHS decision making
  • Experience within an NHS role is preferable
  • Evidence of formulary, guideline development alongside shaping wider NHS environment with demonstrable evidence of the impact those changes had on sales, NHS goals and patient outcomes
  • Demonstrate clear analytical thinking
  • Excellent IT and communication skills
