Job Summary:

The Associate Director, Project Manager at this leading global pharma company will provide specialist expertise to develop consistent and effective execution of late phase clinical trial projects across a range of therapy areas in the EMEA while working closely with the Medical Teams on Core Medical Plans across multiple therapeutic areas.

PRIMARY DUTIES

This position will drive the department efforts to align with internal stakeholders to ensure best practices are used consistently within the region and across the EMEA affiliates for project management.  This position will also have TA project management responsibilities as follows:        

  • Provides leadership in the operational strategy by ensuring the completion of the activities foreseen in the Core Medical Plans in order to meet project, department and organisational objectives.                                              
  • Responsible for the support of the TAs and the Medical Team in overseeing budget of projects.                      
  • Responsible for the implementation of the Core Medical Plans and the brand plan for assigned regions or countries within the EMEA across various compounds in one or two therapy areas.
  • Collaborates with Regional Clinical Operations to ensure the execution of projects.                                                                                        

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Bachelor’s degree, typically in a scientific discipline.
  • Significant project management experience in healthcare industry, preferably in product development, project management or medical affairs operations.
  • Ideally late phase clinical trial experience
  • Demonstrated successful working within a matrix organization, able to work within team and at times autonomously.
  • Proven decision-making skills leading to successful outcomes and strong ability to problem solve.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (GCP/ISO).
  • Significant knowledge of drug development and product lifecycle management processes.
  • Experienced in working across multiple cultures and countries.
