Natasha Young is currently recruiting for a Computational Chemist to join a dedicated team of researchers providing an outsourced service to Eli Lilly, one of the top ten largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. This role is offered on a full time, permanent basis and will be based at the client's site in Surrey which is commutable from London, Oxford, Reading and Guilford.
Development of new computational chemistry and cheminformatics workflows or protocols utilising existing modelling software to address scientific hypotheses
Validation of computational tools in areas of cheminformatics, ligand and protein modelling
Use of gene transcription data and other large data sets derived from cellular systems coupled with pathway and network analysis to enhance small molecule drug discovery
Analysis of experimental and computational data and provision of clear recommendations to other scientists
Support and train other scientists in the use of new tools and workflows
PhD in Computational Chemistry or equivalent level of technical experience
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to make technical presentations to peers
