Requirements:

An exciting mission is now available to an ambitious and enthusiastic professional to be in charge of the management and operational leadership of the Drug Substance Bio production belonging to a key manufacturing site of a well-established and expanding pharmaceutical company. The main scope is to ensure a timely and cost effective development and manufacturing of bio-pharma products in order to achieve a sustainable growth, while providing a clear vision and purpose.


Main Responsibilities:

• Management and further development of a large-scale facility for the GMP manufacturing of bio-pharmaceutical drug substances out of manufacturing of bio pharmaceutical drug substances out of microbial systems.
• Ensure all resources and capabilities exist to manufacture respective drug substances according to demand
• Act as a key player in the joint teams with all clients for the technical development and supply of corresponding drug substances
• Develop resources, equipment and capabilities to manufacture other bio pharmaceutical substances for the technical development and supply of corresponding drug substances.
• Develop resources, equipment and capabilities to manufacture other bio pharmaceutical substances for clinical and commercial applications as needed by the Novartis pipeline
• Ensure processes are in place for the tech transfer of manufacturing processes to the site form other external sites
• Ensure that all manufacturing operations are performed to meet the production plan, under appropriate health, safety, environment and quality conditions in line with all applicable current regulations and guidelines
• Establish strategies, objectives and plans for the development of the company`s business and continuous growth


Requirements:

In order to be considered a successful candidate for this role, you need to have a solid experience in the field of large-scale manufacturing (possibly technical development) of bio pharmaceuticals at a management level. Also, it is required to have the ability to consistently work cross-functionally. In addition, you will be PhD or Master Degree educated in Biotechnology or Biochemical Engineering.
