Job Summary:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for managing current clients and developing new business, the BDM will be responsible for promoting Europital as a niche provider of medical expertise in outsourced clinical development work for pharma and biotech companies. The BDM will be also responsible for promoting PenThu®, the first Interactive Guidance Management System (IGMS) in clinical research industry, owned and operated by Europital.


Europital is an international highly-dynamic organization dedicated to Scientific Research and Medical Management of Clinical Trials. We provide expert medical services and creative solutions in clinical research and drug development to our clients in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech and Medical Device industry.


Client Acquisition

  • Actively prospects new clients and leverages potential new business opportunities
  • Constantly developing a strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers within accounts and develops deep knowledge of the client organization
  • Analysis of potential opportunities and developing detailed business plans and sales strategies for each client account.
  • Monitors actions and results against plans
  • Identifies and responds to client needs in order to define potential opportunities
  • Ensures appropriate strategy/solution is proposed to client
  • Leading the entire sales process- preparing and leading the sales presentation
  • Working with Responsible Managers to develop proposals and finalise pricing strategy
  • Handling follow-up related to the sale and drives the completion of contractual documents

Proposal/Contract Generation and Close

  • Writing, reviewing and approving proposals and contracts with responsibility for delivery to client.
  • Shares client account strategies and sales plans with Responsible Managers
  • Ensuring appropriate hand off to the project team by transferring knowledge on client needs and expectations
  • Escalating and quickly address client issues and concerns
  • Ensuring changes in scope are appropriately negotiated with the client
  • Reporting information on personal sales activity through regular updates and database entry

Client Relationship

  • Maintaining high visibility within the client organisation
  • Monitoring client satisfaction by communicating regularly with customers


  • Degree qualified in a scientific or technical discipline
  • Qualification in business administration is a plus but not mandatory
  • Track record in “contract-based” sales
  • Experience working in a life sciences industry
  • Demonstrated industry and business experience
  • Excellent sales track record within developing new clients and able to close deals
  • Understanding of the life science industry
  • Able to develop relationships with a diverse group of key stakeholders
  • Proven success with preparing business plans and strategies
  • Ability to prepare and execute client presentations
  • Excellent negotiation skills and organizational skills
  • Team player
  • Prepared to travel as needed
  • Any additional language skills are desirable
