Job Description SummaryTo provide scientific knowledge and technical direction in the area of lipid metabolism and its interaction the production of difficult to express recombinant proteins. To ensure delivery of a complex technical project against timelines and mile stones as an active member of the R&T mammalian process team in Slough.

 

Job Description


The purpose of this role is to bring specialist knowledge and experience to the project team. The role will provide specialist scientific and technical leadership to the project and undertake experimental and interpretative activities where such knowledge is critical. The role will lead delivery of relevant work packages to project timeline and to required standard. Although a specialist, the post-holder will contribute (including undertaking laboratory-based activities) to other areas of the project.

Travel Requirements: Occasional visits to academic partner, Univ Kent (UK).  This position is for 36 months working on a fixed term basis.

Key Accountabilities and Duties

Provide Project with scientific knowledge and experience in lipid metabolism etc alongside associated technical skills.

Critically review and interpret raw data & information to produce good quality process knowledge.

To provide scientific and technical direction to Project in areas associated with SME status.

To ensure that Project’s outputs are appropriate for use in cGMP environment.

Responsible for the design, execution and delivery of multiple aspects of work packages (safety, inc. quality, right first time, on time, project management) that post-holder leads.

Perform other duties as assigned.
