Steve Lord is recruiting for an IT Support Manager to work for an exciting and innovative medical diagnostics company. The IT Support Manager will be working at the site in Newcastle upon Tyne on a permanent basis. This client is offering an opportunity be involved in a rapidly expanding company involved in pioneering projects to improve global health through diagnostic tools.

Overall function of the job
The primary function of this role will be to manage all IT and telecomms systems throughout the company, fixing issues onsite and remotely, liasing with 3rd party IT support company and to manage existing databases.

As IT Support Manager you will have the following skills and experience:
-Experience supporting areas such as desktops, software, application and server (active directory & exchange)
-Hands on technical support experience for end users of Windows 10, Microsoft Outlook, & Microsoft Office suite.
-Good communications skills - able to deal with technical and non-technical users, and experience of dealing/working with 3rd party IT support companies would be beneficial.
-Familiarity with database systems preferably LAMP (Linux, Apache, MYSQL, PHP) based.
-Ability to look ahead at future needs and plan IT solutions and present those to management.
