Job Summary:

We are currently looking to recruit 2x Software Developers at our office in Lublin, Poland, who are looking for an opportunity that will utilise their technical development and design expertise.


The opportunity

We are currently looking to recruit 2x Software Developers at our office in Lublin, Poland, who are looking for an opportunity that will utilise their technical development and design expertise.  This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 2-4 years+ MVC, Net experience using C#. You must be capable of managing multiple tasks and development efforts simultaneously, be a self-starter, and capable of taking ideas through to implementation. Ideally, you will have aspirations to lead and grow our Development Team in Poland. You will reporting to our Development Manager in the UK (Colchester) and would be required to travel to the UK on a regular basis. The development team has recently transitioned to an AGILE development process.

The role

The main purpose of the role is to review, analyse and modify systems including developing, testing, debugging and supporting the application environment.  

Responsibilities will include:

  • Develop document processing and indexing web applications, predominantly using ASP.Net, C#, MVC and associated technologies.
  • Project life cycle involvement – planning, estimates, documentation, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Write technical procedures and documentation for new and existing applications including operations, user guide, etc.
  • Debug, investigate and resolve application functionality related issues.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and identify modifications needed in existing applications to meet changing user requirements.
  • Assist in the creation of the system design and functional specifications for new development projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and recommendations in assessing new IT software projects and initiatives to support and enhance our existing systems.

We are looking for individuals who have:

  • Extensive experience in technical development and technical design.
  • 2 years+ working with the full Microsoft technology stack (C#, ASP.NET)
  • 2 years+ architecting / building with ASP.NET MVC 3.0 (or later)
  • Technical experience with SQL, ideally MySQL and MS SQL Server.
  • AGILE experience would be an advantage
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Proven ability to be flexible and both independently and in a team environment, in an environment with ever changing priorities.
  • Good written and spoken English. You will have the ability to discuss technical matters with our UK-based Development Team, write technical procedures and documentation, and actively participate in regular meetings (Skype and in-person)

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience in the development and implementation of standards, procedures and guidelines to support operational processes.
  • Act as a mentor, leading and supporting the development team.
  • Be able to prioritise, meet deadlines and manage changing priorities.
  • Be results oriented and someone who thrives in a fast paced environment.
