Global Biopharmaceutical – an opportunity for an experienced Clinical Development Physician or a well-qualified candidate from academia to act as Director / Senior Director of Immunology Clinical Strategy to lead their early-stage Immunology clinical projects to clinical proof-of-concept.

The unit is a highly collegial group, which considers the needs of the patient first and foremost and makes the critical decisions necessary to maximise the company’s performance. The Immunology Clinical Strategy group contributes to integrating the needs of the patient with cutting-edge science, medicine and technology in an environment of focused innovation to produce novel therapies which address critical medical needs.
Reporting to the VP/Head of Immunology Clinical Strategy, this role will primarily focus on clinical strategy definition and clinical programme design. The successful candidate will have broad knowledge of human diseases, with depth in immunologic diseases, a strong understanding of immunologic science and the ability to think translationally.
The successful candidate will lead early-stage Immunology projects from clinical candidate selection to clinical proof of concept (POC), focusing on clinical strategy definition and clinical programme design.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Ideally medically qualified, accompanied by specialty certification in an area related to immunology (eg rheumatology, gastroenterology, pulmonology).
Research experience in a subject area relevant to immunology, as demonstrated for example by a PhD or by a record of high impact publications.
Experience of the design and execution of translational medicine or early drug development clinical trials, in an immunology relevant therapeutic area
Fluency in English is also essential.
