Job Summary:

COVANCE is a leading global drug development services company and we provide support to the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries. We are currently seeking to hire Clinical Research Associates. This is a permanent position based in Brussels office or home based in Belgium.


Within this position, your duties will include:

  • All aspects of study site monitoring including routine monitoring and close-out of clinical sites, maintenance of study files, writing of clinical trial reports, conduct of pre-study and initiation visits, liaise with vendors and other duties
  • All aspects of site and registry management as prescribed in the project plans
  • Organizing and making presentations at Investigator Meetings
  • Reporting, writing narratives and follow-up on serious adverse events
  • Reviewing progress of projects and initiating appropriate actions to achieve target objectives
  • You may serve as lead monitor for a protocol or project and assist in establishing monitoring plans if required
  • Participating in the development of protocols and Case Report Forms as assigned
  • Interacting with internal work groups to evaluate needs, resources and timelines

To be successful in this position, you will need to be educated to degree level in life science or/and paramedical science area. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Clinical monitoring Experience (2-5 years) including pre-study initiation, routine monitoring and close-out visits
  • Ability to monitor study sites independently according to protocol monitoring guidelines, SOPs, GCP and ICH Guidelines
  • Fluency in English, Dutch and French
  • Good communication, planning, organization and problem solving skills
  • Full understanding of the Serious Adverse Event (SAE) reporting, process production of reports, narratives and follow up of SAEs
  • Phase I-II-III and oncology Experience would be an asset
