Commercial Manager – East Midlands



Star’s recruiting for a Commercial Manager opportunity with a global medical devices company. This brand new role involves working at medical management level – you’ll liaise with commissioners, clinical specialists and key decision makers to get products into formulary. This is a field-based, national opportunity – ideally, the Commercial Manager will be based in the Midlands. You’ll also be responsible for building and executing business plans in order to meet sales goals and drive sales performance.



The Commercial Manager’s key responsibilities include:



* Engaging with Key Opinion Leaders in Commissioning, Medicines Management, Key Prescribing contacts
* Building sustainable relationships with key market contacts within both commercial and healthcare sectors
* Strategise, engage and collaborate with team members to generate sales and drive the business
* Identify opportunities to develop the business through partnerships or new initiatives
* Engage at a commercial level with key CCG prescribers and decision makers in the UK and Ireland
* Coach field-based staff on best practice for managing CCG accounts
* Assess risks and make tactical recommendations
* Ensuring that literature and sample stocks are delivered and maintained in relevant clinics where company products are used



Applicants will have/be:



* Experience within primary care markets within the NHS
* Previous sales experience within medical devices/diabetes/pharma
* The ability to negotiate with senior procurement managers
* A good grasp of commercial issues
* B2B sales experience
* Experience in secondary care and of managing sales teams are both desirable qualities, but not essential
