Job Summary:

We are a global CRO in search of an experience Pharmacovigilance Director. We have an excellent reputation in the industry with a strong record of repeat business, loyal employees and long term contracts. Offering flexible working this role is based in Italy, but can be remote for the right candidate. This opportunity would suit a distinguished professional with a strong background in drug safety looking to share their expertise in a growing team.

Your Job

We are looking for an experienced professional who can hit the ground running, looking to join a friendly CRO on a contract basis. This role will involve overseeing the implementation and support of all global pharmacovigilance systems, working to ensure the compliance with regulatory authorities alongside global strategy development and line managing cross functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guiding the direction of the Pharmacovigilance department setting the standards and processes
  • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance throughout PV system
  • Supporting Audits and inspections, implementing gap analysis
  • Overseeing and approving SDEAs, PSMF, RMPs and aggregate reports as well as all monitoring
  • Line management

 

Skills Required

  • MBBS OR MBChB OR BMBS OR MBBCh required
  • CRO industry experience preferred by not essential, EU QPPV experience a bonus
  • An expert knowledge of good pharmacovigilance practices and global regulatory authorities
  • Italian speaking valuable
  • Strong leadership skills to provide direction to cross functional teams and multiple projects.
  • Experience in winning and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Experience working in medical devices is a bonus.
