A Multinational Healthcare Group with comprehensive geographic presence, (with more than 30 Subsidiaries globally, 10 R&D centres & covering some of the key Therapeutic Areas) have an exciting new opportunity & are looking to take on a Director/ Snr Director of Pharmacovigilance & EU QPPV. This role has fantastic visibility as your N + 2 will be the CEO of this Healthcare group.

A Multinational Healthcare Group with comprehensive geographic presence, (with more than 30 Subsidiaries globally, 10 R&D centres & covering some of the key Therapeutic Areas) have an exciting new opportunity & are looking to take on a Director/ Snr Director of Pharmacovigilance & EU QPPV. This role has fantastic visibility as your N + 2 will be the CEO of this Healthcare group.

Within this position the Director/ Snr Director of Pharmacovigilance & EU QPPV will direct & supervise operational activities of the Drug Safety personnel across one of the groups (further scope for responsibility for the three groups). The Snr Director Pharmacovigilance & EU QPPV will create and maintain a Global Pharmacovigilance system that allows optimization of resources and infrastructure, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, as well as an adequate risk-benefit balance of the Companys products & projects.

Further responsibilities for the Snr Director; Pharmacovigilance & EU QPPV will include but are not limited to;
• Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance regulations applicable in each territory and ensure proper risk-benefit balance of products and projects for this Company.
• Ensure proper management and reporting of suspected adverse reactions.
• Ensure proper preparation and/or review of periodic safety reports and scientific literature.
• Manage PHV agreements with third party companies.
• Coordinate the PHV interactions with health authorities.
• Provide continuous assessment of the benefit-risk of the Companys branded products and projects in development.
• Ensure proper training within the company and prepare scientific presentations, both internal (in the company) and external (congresses, meetings, etc.).
• Manage global PHV department and help/support affiliate PHV departments
• Attend conferences and scientific meetings.
• Stay updated with emerging law, regulations and guidelines and assure process compliance with local guidelines and standards for safety reporting.
• Evaluate medical literature related to potential product safety issues and prepare safety assessments and recommendations.

The successful Director, Pharmacovigilance & EU QPPV should be:
• MD qualified & experience as a EU QPPV
• Demonstrable Pharmacovigilance experience of 5+ years with at least 3 years within a Pharmaceutical HQ. Global experience is mandatory
• Previous line management experience within industry
• In-depth knowledge of EU PHV legislation & procedures
